In recognition of the significant role that entrepreneurship, technology and innovation can play in accelerating living standards and social progress in developing economies, TLcom has set up the TIDE (Technology and Innovation for Developing Economies) Foundation, a not-for-profit organization aimed at providing non investment yet critical services to promote local entrepreneurship in Sub Saharan Africa (SSA), as a key to promote local sustainable development processes.

In partnership with universities, business schools and business incubators and accelerators operating in Sub Saharan African countries the Foundation provides services including: training and skills development on business building, venture capital and environmental, social and governance management; support to incubators’ and accelerators’ management to improve their effectiveness; industry research; exposure of local entrepreneurs to the international tech community.

The Foundation is led by Andreata Muforo, TLcom’s Investment Director.
